URIDER – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using the URider app or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

URider is a platform that connects:

  • Passengers (Batintia)

  • Drivers (Turaaiwa)

Services include:

  • Ride booking (bike or car)

  • Parcel delivery

  • In-app wallet system

URider acts as a technology platform only, not a transport provider.

3. USER ACCOUNTS

Users must:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Keep login details secure

URider may suspend accounts for:

  • Fraud

  • Abuse

  • Violation of terms

4. BOOKINGS AND RIDES

  • Fares are calculated based on distance and pricing model

  • Prices may change at any time

  • Users must confirm pickup and drop-off locations correctly

  • Drivers may cancel under valid conditions

URider is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or road conditions.

5. PAYMENTS AND WALLET

  • Payments can be made via:

    • Cash

    • In-app wallet

Wallet rules:

  • Top-ups may be done manually (cash to admin)

  • Withdrawals may include a service fee

  • Transactions are recorded digitally

URider is not a bank or financial institution.

6. DRIVER TERMS

Drivers must:

  • Hold a valid license

  • Provide accurate vehicle details

  • Follow local road laws

  • Maintain safe and respectful behavior

URider does not employ drivers. Drivers operate independently.

7. USER CONDUCT

Users must NOT:

  • Use the app for illegal activities

  • Harass drivers or other users

  • Provide false bookings

  • Damage vehicles or property

Violations may result in account suspension.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

URider is not liable for:

  • Accidents or injuries during rides

  • Loss or damage of personal items

  • Disputes between users and drivers

All transport is provided by independent drivers.

9. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

  • Users may cancel rides before driver arrival

  • Late cancellations may result in charges

  • Wallet refunds are subject to review

10. PRIVACY

User data is handled according to the URider Privacy Policy.

11. LEGAL COMPLIANCE (KIRIBATI)

URider operates in Kiribati and complies with applicable laws, including principles under the Data Protection Act 2025 and other relevant regulations.

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

URider may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.

13. TERMINATION

URider may suspend or terminate accounts at any time for violations of these Terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kiribati.
